NCRPO honors deserving PNP personnel, stakeholders

Awards Sining Bayanihan Regional Winners for PCR Month

MANILA, (PIA) -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), under the leadership of PMGen Vicente D. Danao, honored deserving Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel and stakeholders in celebration of the 3rd week of the 26th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month.

This year's PCR Month, with the theme, "Pulisya at Pamayanan, BARANGAYanihan sa Hamon ng Pandemya at Laban sa Krimen," honored deserving PNP personnel through the grant of the following awards:

  • Medalya ng Paglilingkod with one Silver Star for 25 Years of Service;
  • Medalya ng Kasanayan; and
  • Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya for their outstanding contributions in PCR, particularly in the conduct of Serbisyong TAMA Caravans in the Barangay, under the BARANGAYanihan Program of the PNP.

The awarding took place during the Flag Raising and awarding Ceremonies conducted on Monday, July 19, at the NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The celebration also highlighted the Oath Taking of KKDAT Regional and District Officers, and City and Municipal Presidents and Vice Presidents and Hon. Angelika Dela Cruz- Casareo and Ms. Malou Lee as Regional Advisers, apart from the awarding of KKDAT Regional Siningbayanihan Winners; Awarding of KKDAT Regional Officers and Stakeholders and Advocacy Support Group Members.

PMGen. Danao, through PBGen Benjamin C. Acorda, Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) communicated his sincere appreciation for the support, participation and unwavering dedication shown by the awardees to the endeavor of NCRPO to intensify and invigorate its fight against all forms of ciminality, illegal drugs and terrorism.

“Ang mga taong pinarangalan natin ngayon ay mga simbolo ng walang kapaguran at walang sawang paglilingkod ng NCRPO sa kabila ng umiiral na krisis pangkalusugan. (The people we awarded today symbolize the indefatigable and untiring service the NCRPO commits despite the ongoing health crisis.) Bagamat isa ang ating hanay sa mga frontline forces ng pamahalaan na mas nagpaigting sa posibilidad na mahawa tayo nitong nakamamatay na sakit, nakalulugod isipin na walang takot nating hinaharap ang panganib upang patuloy na makapagbigay ng Serbisyong TAMA; TApat, may tapang at MAlasakit sa mamamayan.” (Despite the risk of infection from the deadly disease, it is heartening to note that our frontline forces continue to brave the existing dangers in order to give the right and just service, coupled with courage and concern for all our citizens.) PMGen Danao said.

Hon. Lord Allan Jay Q. Velasco, Speaker of the House, 18th Congress of the Philippines graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

In his message, Velasco extended his appreciation of the indispensable share of PCR to the success of the country's peace and order campaign.

Moreover, he commended the unwavering and selfless effort of the PNP to maintain peace and order despite the danger of contracting the disease and laying down the ultimate sacrifice for love of country and service to the people.

“Sadyang napakahalaga ng papel na ginagampanan ng ating ugnayang pangkomunidad. (Your community relations play a very cruial role.) Nagpapasalamat po ako sa malaking ambag ng ating mga pulis upang mapanitili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ating komunidad. (I extend my deepest gratitude to the very important role our police personnel have in maintaining peace and order in our communities.) Batid po natin na lalong tumitindi ang trabaho ng ating kapulisan dahil sa umiiral na pandemya. (We acknowlege the bigger role they have to play due to the ongoing pandemic.) Sumasaludo din po ako sa mga nagsakripisyo upang ang mas malaking bilang ng ating komunidad ay maging ligtas sa kumakalat na sakit. (I likewise commend your efforts and sacrifice to keep a greater number of our communities safe from the contagious disease.)” he said. (NCRPO/PIA-NCR)
