QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Muntinlupa City Government has launched its Urban-Agri Caravan and distributed seedlings to local farming communities in celebration of the National Nutrition Month.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi and Representative Ruffy Biazon led the ceremonial distribution of seeds and seedlings on Wednesday, July 21 at Muntinlupa City Hall.

City Nutrition Council executive Dra. Magdalena Meana, DA-ESO executive Malou Lobo, and Vice Mayor Temy Simundac also graced the event aimed at boosting the food security efforts of the government.

Recently, the local government also partnered with the Department of Agriculture and University of the Philippines Los Baños to strengthen its urban gardening initiatives.

The DA - Agricultural Research, through the UPLB Edible Landscaping Team, donated 500 edible landscaping kits to the city for its “Gulayan sa Muntinlupa” program. (Muntinlupa PIO/PIA-NCR)
