MANILA, (PIA) -- San Juan City has celebrated the 43rd National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week at the FilOil Flying V Center with a special vaccination rollout for persons with disability (PWDs).
Mayor Francis Zamora graced the event and was accompanied by Vice Mayor Warren Villa, Congressional District Head Atty. Bel Zamora, city councilors, and several city hall officials.
Bahagi yan ng ating programa sa Makabagong San Juan,” Mayor Francis said. (This is my commitment to you, for your needs kindly notify me. Any medical procedure, medication, therapy, we will take good care of you. This forms part of our Makabagong San Juan program.)
“We are one family here in San Juan, we will work together for the benefit of our PWDs," Zamora added.
This year’s theme is “Kalusugan at Kaunlaran ng Pilipinong May Kapansanan, Isulong sa Pandemya,” and to commemorate the event, 150 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their family support were given priority today and got jabbed with anti-COVID vaccines. They, along with another 150 PWDs who were previously vaccinated under other prioritization categories, were also given food packs with rice, canned goods, and hygiene kits.
Atty. Bel Zamora thanked the attendees for going to the event to get vaccinated. (San Juan PIO/PIA-NCR)
