PUERTO PRINCESA, Palawan (PIA) -- Eighty-eight beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps from the Municipality of San Vicente graduated in the program on June 22.
The graduation ceremony with a theme “Paglalakbay tungo sa Tagumpay, sama-samang Pagsulong tungo sa Matatag na Kinabukasan” was attended by the beneficiaries. The activity was held at the Municipal Gymnasium of Barangay Poblacion of the said town.
According to Gerald Gray C. Bediores, Provincial Link of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Mimaropa, the graduation of the beneficiary families is proof that the 4Ps program is successful and it only means that many of them have risen to the level of lifestyle.
Based on the report of the Pantawid Program, out of the 88 graduates, 70 of them are at the second level and 18 are at the third level standard of living.
4Ps is a DSWD-sponsored program that provides conditional cash grants to poor families to improve the health, nutrition, and education of children aged 0-18.
The implementation of this program continues to be supported by the Municipal Government of San Vicente.
Currently, there are 2,426 beneficiaries under the program in the Municipality of San Vicente. (OCJ/PIA-MIMAROPA, Palawan)
