DA-PhilMech provided the active organizations with tractors and harvesters being a component for the modernization of the country’s agriculture sector. This is also part of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Program (RCEP) of the national government.
In coordination with the local government, headed by Mayor Ferdinand Maliwanag, farmers’ associations received four units of 4-wheel tractors and two combine harvesters. Recipients are as follows: Samahan ng Malipayon ng Waygan, Brgy. Waygan (1 tractor, 1 harvester); Celestial Farmers Association, Brgy. Villa Celestial (1 tractor); Sta. Maria Farmers PAMANA-SLPA, Brgy. Sta Maria (1 tractor at 1 harvester); and New Sta. Brigida Farmers Association of Brgy. Sta. Brigida (1 tractor).
