CALOOCAN (PIA) -- National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon said almost 10 million Filipinos are now fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine.

“Kung maganda ang dating na supply ng bakuna. Nagtitiwala po tayo na kakayanin i-sustain ang jab rate na ito,” Dizon said during Laging Handa Public Briefing on Wednesday, August 4.

Dizon thanked the local government units (LGUs) and private sector for their efforts to help in the national vaccination program.

“Salamat sa LGUs at private sector para sa pakikipagtulungan sa national government para sa milestone na ito,” Dizon said.

The government has already administered 21 million vaccines doses to individuals in the country.

“Kahapon [August 3] ang pinakamataas na bilang na nabakunahan sa isang araw,” Dizon said.

As of August 3, NTF recorded the highest single-day COVID-19 vaccine shots with 673,652 doses administered.

“Let’s continue our efforts for Philippines protected from COVID-19,” NTF said in a Facebook post. (JMB/PIA-IDPD)
