QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Agriculture Secretary William Dar cited the Philippines' achievements in the agriculture and fisheries sector despite the “perfect storm” that badly hit the country in the previous year.
“After two years of grinding labor and sacrifice, we have made strong and hopeful steps forward,” Secretary Dar said, delivering his second State of the Philippine Agriculture report at ATI-RDEC Hall, Quezon City on August 4, 2021.

For his remaining months in office, Dar said the “OneDA” family will focus and ramp-up activities and projects that will ensure availability and affordability of basic food commodities. He also reaffirmed his vow against corruption and regain DA’s stature as one of the client-friendly, responsive, and corrupt-free institutions of the Duterte Administration by urging the “OneDA” family to abide by the principles of ease of doing business.
Other highlights of the event included the book launch of Sec. Dar’s “Bringing hope, winning hearts: Collection of Quotes” and the statement of commitment of DA key officials for the remaining one year in office under the Duterte administration. (DA/PIA-NCR)
