QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF NCR) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines provides security assistance during the distribution of financial aid to Metro Manila residents affected by the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

The Commander of the JTF-NCR Brigadier General Marceliano V. Teofilo led AFP personnel, together with officials and personnel from the City of Manila, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of National Defense, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The JTF NCR personnel augment elements from the National Capital Region Police Office in implementing security measures before, during and after the massive distribution event that aims to provide cash aid to at least 10.9 million residents of Metro Manila.

Simultaneously, the Commander of Naval Task Force 83, Colonel Ivan DR Papera also participated in the distribution of financial assistance in San Juan City led by Mayor Francis Zamora.

The Naval Task Force 83 also provided security assistance during the distribution of the ayuda to the beneficiaries. (JTF NCR/PIA-NCR)
