CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) -- Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) Region 3 ensures that every couple will be able to avail the different modern family planning (FP) methods of their choice in their locality even during this pandemic.
 
As the nation celebrates FP Month this August, POPCOM has spearheaded various activities through the help of its regional and local partners that would link demand generation to service delivery.
 
“Local population offices together with their hardworking officers and workers continue to provide demand generation activities and referral to our service delivery network,” POPCOM Regional Director Lourdes Nacionales said.
 
The agency also inked agreements with the seven provinces and two highly-urbanized cities as well as about 10 component cities and municipalities for the provision of family planning services and full implementation of the National Program on Population and Family Planning at the local level.
 
Moreover, POPCOM continues to collaborate with different regional line agencies by entering partnerships  that focus on convergence of programs and projects that are people centered and will have a greater beneficial impact for couples, adults and adolescents.
 
Meanwhile, Nacionales announced that POPCOM Region 3 will again hold a free Non-Scalpel Vasectomy this year once the community quarantine eases to ensure the safety of both the itenrant team and patients.
