Fast food chains in Kidapawan get safety seal certification

KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato (PIA)--- The City Government of Kidapawan and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) issued safety seal certification to fast food chains in the city for complying with the minimum public health standards against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)

City Mayor Joseph Evangelista and DILG Kidapawan City Operations Officer Julia Judith Jeveso personally handed over the certificates to Jollibee, Chowking, Red Ribbon, and Greenwich Pizza, Wednesday morning.

With the Safety Seal Certification, customers are encouraged to patronize the said establishments as these strictly abide with the guidelines of the national and local inter-agency task forces on COVID-19.

Evangelista emphasized that the public should still continue following the minimum public health standards, to include wearing of face mask and face shield, thermal scanning, physical distancing, disinfecting, and scanning of QR code, inside the establishments.

The local chief executive added that the city LGU and the DILG will issue the same certification to other business establishments in the city once they adhere to the safety protocols against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, said fast food chains with safety seal certification will offer a 10 percent discount for fully-vaccinated customers.  All they have to do is to present their vaccination card at the cashier. (With reports from CIO-Kidapawan)
