In a recent report by MunCoVac, the local government recorded that 72.54% of the 2,028 active COVID-19 cases in the city as of August 18 are unvaccinated individuals. Of the total active cases, only 10.65% are partially vaccinated and 16.81% are fully vaccinated. Partially and fully vaccinated individuals are asymptomatic or only have mild symptoms.
“Ang pagpapabakuna ay isa sa pinakamabisang panlaban natin kontra COVID-19. Kaya kahit mahawa man ng virus ang isang taong may bakuna na, mas protektado pa rin sila kumpara sa mga unvaccinated individuals. (Having the vaccine is one of the most effective ways to fight COVID-19. If vaccinated individuals are infected by the virus, they still have better protection than unvaccinated ones.) Hinihikayat ang bawat isa na magpabakuna para sa ating proteksyon laban sa COVID-19 (We are encouraging everyone to have the vaccine for our protection against COVID-19) ,” MunCoVac said.
