Martin Andanar said Wednesday, September 1, during his radio interview over 104.1 Radio Mangagoy with anchor Atty. Howell Rex Mabale for their Balita, Balaud, ug Barugangan radio program.

Among these are the Bukidnon-Agusan del Norte Connector; Agusan del Sur-Surigao del Sur Connector; Bukidnon-Agusan del Sur Connector; Sampaguita-Makilos Road; Butuan-Pianing-Tandag Road; Cabadbaran-Puting Bato-Lanuza Road; Nasipit-Buenavista-Masao Port Coastal Road; NRJ Rizal-Togbongon-Mat-I-Mabini-Trinidad Road; Nasipit-Agusan del Norte East-West Lateral Road; Bayugan-Calaitan-San Miguel Road; Lianga Bypass Road; Las Nieves-Sibagat Road; and Dinagat-Loreto Road.

Build, Build, Build is the current administration’s ambitious infrastructure development plan aiming to complete thousands of various infrastructure projects across the country within the term of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The program has also made the completion of 286 bridge projects and 271 flood mitigation structures in Caraga Region possible. Some 5,414 classrooms were also constructed in the past five years.

“Eto na nga ‘yung tinatawag natin na ‘Golden Age of Infrastructure’ because this administration has spent an average of almost 5% sa infrastructure to GDP compared sa ibang administrations na uma-average lang ng 2%,” said the communications chief, adding that the country is experiencing the ‘hay days’ of its infrastructure.

Per government data, from 2016 to 2020, the Build, Build, Build program has accomplished P2.5-trillion worth of public infrastructure projects and employed over 6.5 million Filipinos. In its final year, a total of P1.18 trillion was appropriated for the implementation and completion of the remaining projects. (DMNR/PIA-Caraga)
