TACURONG CITY, Sultan Kudarat (PIA) -- Finishing the People's Dialysis and Diagnostic Center remains a priority of the City Government of Tacurong.
In the Laging Handa Network Briefing News on Monday, Mayor Lino Montilla told PCOO Secretary Andanar that he is seeing through the completion of the first government dialysis in Tacurong City.
The Peoples' Dialysis and Diagnostic Center, he said, is a flagship project of the his brother, the late Mayor Angelo "Roncal" Montilla, who died of COVID-19 complications on June 6, this year.
"Tacurong City has allotted P17 million for the initial construction out of our savings from 2019 and 2020. This year, we have earmarked P10 million for the completion of the ground floor, another P4 million for the fixtures, and P16 million budget for the purchase of dialysis machines," he said.
Mayor Montilla added that the city LGU has allocated a space for the Malasakit Center "so that Tacurong City's poorest of the poor will have access to free dialysis."
LGU Tacurong, under the leadership of Mayor Roncal Montilla, broke grounds for the construction of the People's Dialysis and Diagnostic Center on February 14, 2020.
The dialysis center is a three-storey building with a total area of 2,446 square meters and sits on a 1,236-square meter lot along Roxas Avenue.
Once completed, it will house nine dialysis rooms, an x-ray room, and modern laboratory equipment, among others.
