Provincial gov’t acquires oxygen tanks for public hospitals

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – The provincial government recently purchased additional 100 oxygen tanks, for the use of patients at Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH).

The newly purchased oxygen tanks augment the existing oxygen tanks of the provincial government.

in July, the provincial governmentat was set to procure at least 1,000 oxygen tanks for the province, per recommendation of the Department of Health (DOH).

Due to the rise in the demand for oxygen supplies nationwide, there was a delay in the delivery of refilled oxygen tanks by the accredited suppliers. However, the suppliers assured the provincial government that they could immediately provide refilled oxygen tanks whenever the need arises. These can likewise be lent to private hospitals to augment their immediate need for oxygen tanks.

Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor continuously coordinates with other accredited oxygen distributors for the province to acquire more supplies of oxygen tanks to be utilized by government hospitals in the entire province of Oriental Mindoro. (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
