Pangasinan has new police provincial director

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Nov. 9 (PIA) -- A new provincial director of Pangasinan on Friday assumed his post after the turnover ceremony held at the Magilas Hall of Camp Antonio Sison Provincial Police Office (PPO) here.


During a change of command, Police Col. Richmond Tabina formally replaced Police Col. Ronald Gayo, who will be assigned as chief of staff of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Aviation Security Group.


Gayo, who headed Pangasinan PPO for 11 months, said his best legacy was having responsible, vigilant and God-fearing police force of Pangasinan PPO that led to various significant accomplishments even in the midst of the pandemic.


He likewise expressed his gratitude to all the men and women of Pangasinan PPO for their efforts that made the Pangasinan PPO the Best PPO in Region 1.


Gayo also thanked the Provincial Government of Pangasinan and all stakeholders in the province for their untiring support accorded to him as the provincial director.


Tadina, who hails from the province of La Union, is the chief of regional operations division of Police Regional Office 1.


Tadina vowed to intensify anti-criminality operations, especially shooting incidents in Pangasinan.


He said the Pangasinan PPO will continue to enforce the minimum health standards in the province and maintain the strategic checkpoints in preparation for the upcoming elections.  (JCR/VHS/EMSA/PIA Pangasinan)
