DICT reminds public to get copy of vax cert online

PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reminds public that the VaxCertPH is a free and self-service portal.

It can be accessed through https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph/ where vaccinated citizens may acquire a copy of their VaxCertPH certificate.

The portal is secured through public-private key cryptography with QR codes that are verifiable online or offline using the system.

The VaxCertPH certificate is used to present the COVID-19 vaccination statues of a citizen of the Philippines and non-Filipino citizens who were vaccinated in the Philippines.

It complies with the standards set by the World Health Organization Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates (WHO DDCC), which aims to be internationally recognized and accepted in foreign jurisdiction.

The certificate can also be considered as proof of vaccination status for purposes like, but not limited to, international travel.

According to DICT, the VaxCertPH system uses data stored at the Vaccine Information System (VMS). Vaccination records are expected to be submitted by the Local Government Units (LGUs) immediately after each vaccination event.

LGUs which fail to submit complete and accurate records are expected to correct these through a rectification process made available to them.

Likewise, citizens who are unable to obtain their VaxCertPH digital certificates may directly coordinate with their respective LGUs where they were vaccinated for their records to be corrected.
