QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- “Kami ang bababa sa inyo upang dalhin ang programa ng gobyerno.”
These were the encouraging words of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Manila Training and Assessment Center administrator’s Vignette Navasero during the recently held “Duterte Legacy: Barangyanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” at Barangay 627 in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
TESDA NCR joined the Manila Police District (MPD) led by Police Lt. Col. Jonathan Rongavilla, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB), and provided services to participants especially in this time of pandemic.
According to TESDA NCR, the beneficiaries of the caravan are drug surrenderees who finished their rehabilitation program and members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers' Association (TODA).
During the program, Ms. Navasero shared the programs of TESDA Manila that they can avail that will help beneficiaries continue with their transformation. She also emphasized that TESDA is willing to go to their barangay in order to provide livelihood trainings especially in this time of pandemic.
A total of 100 participants benefited from the free services offered by TESDA Manila, including free haircut services through their partners from the Manila Manpower Development Services (MMDS), free products from TMTAC’s community-based programs as well as registration to scholarship programs of TESDA.
