CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- The Manila City Government has begun its pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes in the nation's capital, with Vice Mayor Doktora Honey Lacuna leading the inspection.

Lacuna visited on Monday, December 6, both Aurora Quezon Elementary School and Ramon Avancena High School where limited face-to-face classes are being held.

In Aurora Quezon Elementary School, about 60 students from Kinder to Grade 5 level are participating in the pilot run, while about 15 senior high students are in Ramon Avancena High School.

"Napakaimportante nito dahil iba pa rin kasi talaga ang ginagawa natin na pagtuturo at pag-aaral kapag face-to-face," Lacuna said.

"May interaksyon kasi kapag ganito, nawala kasi yung interaction natin sa mga bata (ngayong pandemic). So talagang looking forward sila na makabalik sa kanilang mga schools," she added.

Lacunua was joined by Cong. Yul Servo-Nieto and Division of City Schools Head Dr. Magdalena Lim during the inspection of the two schools.

Lacuna assured the parents that their children are protected inside the schools' vicinity.

"I-a-assure natin ang mga magulang na we'll be following strict protocols para sa mga anak nila para protektado po sila this face-to-face classes," she said. (Manila PIO/PIA-NCR)
