Free antigen test offered to consenting LRT passengers

PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is offering free antigen test to consenting random train passengers.

According to the LRTA, along with the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Philippine National Railways (PNR), the free antigen test is part of the effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

The free antigen test runs from Monday to Friday in the following stations:

   · Antipolo (7:00am to 11:00am)

   · Cubao (9:00am to 4:00pm)

   · Recto (3:00pm to 7:00pm)

The LRTA will deploy teams composed of a nurse who will administer the test; an encoder who will document the passenger's information; personnel who will label the collected specimen; and a safety officer/marshal who will control the possible influx of passengers who agree to be tested.

Likewise, strict implementation of health and safety protocols is being implemented inside trains and in all train stations. (LRTA/PIA-NCR)
