CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- The City Government of Manila on Tuesday launched its new Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine and Robotics Center at Sta. Ana Hospital.
Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, Vice Mayor Doktora Honey Lacuna, Sta. Ana Hospital Director Dr. Grace Padilla, and other city government officials led the opening of the facility.
"When we create things, we always wanted to achieve things na above average because the public deserves better things from their government," Domagoso said.
"With the use of technology, mas madaling makaka-recover yung kababayan natin. So regardless kung mayaman, middle class, o mahirap, they can have access of world-class service," he added.
The new facility has an area of 308 square meters. Its Hybrid Assistive Limb equipment has three types (lower limb, single joint type, and lumbar type), with the following features: Robotic exoskeleton device, Can aid in rehabilitation of various neurological issues such as: Stroke/CVA, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic brain injury, other issues of the brain and neuromuscular system that causes weakness or paralysis of upper and lower extremities.
The facility also has a Harness Assisted Treadmill.
"If private companies can do it, we can do it better. Pipilitin namin maging mainam, masinop, at episyente," Domagoso said.
"We will always do the best and we will try in our own little way to give first class services," he added. (MPIO/PIA-NCR)
