CALAMBA CITY, Laguna (PIA) - The Department of Health opens its first Resbakuna sa Botika in CALABARZON at Mercury Drug Store Q Plaza in Cainta, Rizal this February 3, 2022 led by the Assistant Secretary. Maria Francia M. Laxamana
Asec. Laxamana stated that the Department of Health will not stop until everyone in our community is given proper protection.
Laxamana also said, “Kailangan tayong magtulong-tulong para mapabilis ang pagbabakuna sa mga priority group. Sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalawak ng mga operasyon ng bakunahan sa loob ng mga botika at pakikipagtulungan ng ating mga pharmacies at inaasahan nating maabot ang mas nakakarami at madagdagan ang proteksyon na maibibgay ng bakuna.”
(We need to work together to speed up vaccination in priority groups. By expanding vaccination operations within pharmacies and collaborating with our pharmacies and we hope to reach more and increase the protection that the vaccine can provide.)
She also emphasized the important role of pharmacists in vaccination specifically in health education and vaccination
Asec. Laxamana also thanked Mercury Drugs for its great service in helping the government's Bayanihan Bakunahan campaign.
"Resbakuna sa Botika" is also expected to open in various pharmacies in CALABARZON.
The program aims to further expand vaccination capacity to more quickly reach its goal of responding to fully vaccinated individuals who want to get a booster dose.
Booster recipients are required to pre-register with their respective local government units, which will implement vaccination at pharmacies.
