CORTES, Bohol, Feb. 12 (PIA) -- At least more than two Boholanos die every day in the last 11 days, based on records from the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases-Emergency Operations Center (BIATF-EOC).
BIATF's records show the 632nd death due to COVID-19 was reported on Feb. 12.
Data released by the BIATF on Feb. 2 show that deaths caused by COVID-19 in Bohol has reached 606, which is already 10 more compared to the data on Jan. 31, which was 596.
From Feb. 2-12, at 11:40 AM, the BIATF EOC tallied 632 deaths already, 26 deaths since Feb. 2 and 36 deaths since Jan. 31.
With the 26 COVID-related and confirmed deaths in February, in the 11-day count, Bohol averages 2.3 deaths a day due to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, during the third nationwide vaccination drive on Feb. 10-11, vaccination teams still continue to inoculate senior citizens and individuals with comorbidities with their first dose.
As the local vaccinations continued, latest BIATF data made available on Feb. 6 revealed that Bohol has vaccinated for their second doses some 588,923 individuals in priority sectors.
This translates to 61% coverage based on the 70% of the target population in Bohol's masterlist.
With 961,872 individuals in the masterlist, 70% of that is 673,310.
In the same report dated Feb. 6, there are already 1,249,390 Boholanos vaccinated with either the first dose, the two doses, or with the booster dose.
Some 42,464 Boholanos have since received their booster doses. (RAHC/PIA7 Bohol)
