SK Provincial Health Office starts vaxxing 5-11 years old

ISULAN, SULTAN KUDARAT (PIA) - Starting Monday, the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital (SKPH) rolls-out vaccination of Pfizer dose to minors aged 5 to 11 years old, only those with co-morbidities; and the rest of the pediatric population will be inoculated in rural health units’ vaccinations sites, provincial health officer Dr. Gina C. Galinato told the Philippine Information Agency.

“Depende sa mga batang dadating sa SKPH, but the least we are expecting to vaccinate 50 children today, and also with other vaccination sites in Tacurong City and Esperanza. Tomorrow all RHUs all over the province will accept chidren vaccinees who are earlier included in the masterlist," Dr. Galinato said.

"We have received from DOH enough Pfizer shots for these children, and they are now stored in our two newly acquired ultra-low freezers,“ the SKPHO chief said.

The Office of provincial governor Suharto "Teng" Mangudadatu enjoins parents to have their children be protected and get vaccinated as the province prepares for an eased Covid-19 alert status.

Some childrens vaccinees enjoy being jabbed as they also receive some toys and a packed food from LGU Sultan Kudarat, Dr. Galinato said. (ACA/PIA12)
