COTABATO CITY (PIA)--The BARMM’s Police Regional Office (PRO-BARMM) on Thursday launched the safe national and local elections 2022 campaign dubbed as “Kasimbayanan (Kawani,Simbahan, at Pamayanan)” program aims to ensure the safe and peaceful conduct of 2022 elections on May 9 in the region.

PRO-BARMM Regional Director PBGen Arthur Cabalona assured the public that the Philippine National Police will remain apolitical, and non-partisan. He also vowed to protect the right to vote of every duly registered voter in the Bangsamoro region.

“For our part in the Philippine National Police, we vow to remain apolitical and non-partisan. In coordination with the AFP, the COMELEC, and other line agencies; we vow to protect the right to vote of every duly registered voter, and we will see to it that election activities are conducted in accordance with established rules and regulations,” he emphasized.

Further, coinciding with the event was the signing of peace covenant for a secure, accurate, free and fair 2022 national and local elections. Also, participants of the event released white doves as a symbol of peace and hope.

Representatives from different government agencies, religious sector, and other stakeholder participated in the activity at Camp BGen Salipada K Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao. (With reports from PRO-BARMM).
