At the Laging Handa Network Briefing hosted by Bing Kimpo, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation president Onel Dinawanao announced that the GPA Youth Scholarship Program provides free education to children aged 18 and above who are very interested in attending Dumingag Technological Training School (DTTS) and Dumingag Institute of Sustainable Organic Agriculture (DISOA) in the town.

Dinawanao said that after their schooling for a few months the scholars will be able to avail free tuition, free ID and uniform, tool kits and allowance and get a national certificate of competencies (NC1 and NCII) which will be issued by the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TSDA).

"Once they complete the tech-vocational courses, they will be able to apply and can use their certificate of competencies in their application for work; and in the long run it will help them earn a living," Dinawanao said.

He said interested students will be able to enroll in DTTS and take short technical-vocational courses as follows: Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Computer System Servicing NC II, Driving NC II, Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, and PC Operations NC II.
