ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Mar 7 (PIA) – The municipal mayor of Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur Hon. Joan Abejuela advocated during her interview in a Laging Handa Network Briefing this morning that having a comprehensive government program is very important to successfully manage their goals and policies towards attainment of their objectives for development.
Recently, Dumingag bagged the National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award in recognition of its exemplary efforts and consistency in complementing the national government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign in 2019 and 2020 with an assessment score of 100%.
Mayor Abejuela said that this is the results of their comprehensive program and commitment to eradicate illegal drugs in their locality
“Dapat magkaroon talaga ng programa kung ano ang goal ng municipality. Magkaroon ng comprehensive program of government and be consistent and committed talaga on the campaign against illegal drugs,” she stressed.
Mayor Abejuela also encouraged the provincial government and other LGUs to establish their comprehensive government program.
“Sa provincial government at sa mga kasamahan natin, hinihikayat din natin na magkaroon din talaga ng Program of Government. Hindi yong sarili natin ang ibinebenta natin kundi ang programa ang ini-offer natin sa mga tao, genuine service sa ating mga kababayan lalo na dito sa Zambanga Del Sur,” Mayor Abejuela further stressed.
