TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, March 7 (PIA) -- In the last four days, Bohol teams vaccinating against COVID-19 averaged 3,808 jabs, as they added over 7,000 to the number of Boholanos getting full protection against the disease.
As the local supply of ready vaccines continue to be dispensed, there has not been any fresh deliveries of vaccines, according to data from the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) on the management of Emerging Infectious Diseases in its COVID-19 Report.
Form Feb. 6 to March 4, Bohol has received 1,449,142 vaccine doses, of which 1,360,814 have been inoculated already, leaving Bohol with 88,323 vaccine doses on hand.
With the vaccinations, 7,283 Boholanos from identified priority groups and its essential sectors have been afforded full protection when they receive their second doses of the vaccine until March 3.
On Feb. 28, BIATF bared that 637,043 individuals have received two doses.
In its March 4 report, the number has reached 644,326 as of March 3.
For those who have been given their initial doses, BIATF’s record shows 650,532 Boholanos initially inoculated by the second to the last day of February.
This increased by 4,785 on March 3, the new count for those with the first dose now reaching 655,317.
As to those who had their booster shots, from 58,004 on Feb. 27, it has reached 61,171 as of March 3.
In totality, Bohol has accomplished 58.28% of its 70% target population to achieve herd immunity.
To date, Bohol has 88,328 doses of vaccines in its cold storage facilities and are ready to be dispensed in the next few days. (RAHC/PIA7 Bohol)
