MIAA ensures passengers’ safety, convenience come Holy Week

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Eddie V. Monreal conducts inspection at the NAIA Terminal 2 to ensure passengers' safety this coming Holy Week.

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) --The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Eddie V. Monreal lead the agencies operating at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in ensuring the security, safety and convenience of passengers this Summer Vacation and coming Holy Week.

”With the lowered alert level in relation to COVID-19 in the country, we expect to have a dramatic increase in the volume of passengers and other airport users as well as vehicles at the parking areas, loading and unloading points within the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA),” Monreal said.

For the entire months of April and May 2022, the MIAA ”OPLAN Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2022,” shall conduct intensive security screening and passenger assistance operations in order to ensure secured, reliable, convenient, and uninterrupted airport operations at NAIA.

The authority has performed extensive inventory and accounting of screening, surveillance, and communications equipment, along with human resources and logistics as part of the operational plans readiness.

“Coordination meetings with tasked units and support groups were done before the execution and implementation of plans,” GM Monreal added.

Malasakit Help Desks are at the airport terminals for assistance to concerns of the passengers. The riding public may opt to contact the MIAA Hotline numbers or NAIA’s social media pages as provided below:
