RTWPB-13 to conduct public hearings on wage adjustment

BUTUAN CITY – The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Caraga is currently conducting motu proprio review of Wage  Order No. XIII-16 dated May 1, 2019, pursuant to its mandate under Republic Act 6727 also known as the Wage Rationalization Act, to fix minimum wage of the region.

To ensure active participation and provide stakeholders widest opportunity to air and be heard regarding the adjustment in the current minimum wage of all workers in Caraga region, the RTWPB Caraga will conduct a series of public hearings in the five provinces of the region in the month of April, this year.

Board Secretary VI Earl dela Victoria said, the public hearings are scheduled on April 25 at Mabes Savory Place in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur; April 26 at Kuya Dong Event Catering Services in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur; April 27 at Villa Maria Luisa Hotel in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur; April 28 for the provinces of Dinagat Islands and Surigo del Norte at Philippine Gateway Hotel in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte; and April 29 at Almont Inland Resort in Butuan City.

Parties who intend to participate in the hearing may coordinate with RTWPB Caraga and may submit position papers at Nimfa Tiu Building No. 4, JP Rosales Avenue, Butuan City or through rtwpbcaraga13@gmail.com or r14@produktiboatsahod.onmicrosoft.com.

Dela Victoria assured that safety and health standards on COVID-19 shall be implemented during the public hearings and enjoined participants to strictly observe minimum public health protocolas such as wearing of face mask, temperature check, and observe social distancing. (NCLM/PIA-Caraga)
