5 liquor ban violators apprehended in Valenzuela

MANILA, (PIA) -- Five people were arrested along Urrutia Street, Valenzuela City for violating the liquor ban imposed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in connection with Monday’s general elections.

Police sub-station-6 commander, Lieutenant Armando Delima said they were conducting ‘Oplan Galugad’ when five were caught drinking liquor.

Police report said recovered from the violators were four bottles of beer and a bottle of brandy.

The apprehended men face charges for violating the Omnibus Election Code in relation to the liquor ban. 

They were also issued by the police with ordinance violation receipts (OVR) for not wearing face mask. (PIA-NCR)
