CEBU CITY, Cebu, June 4 (PIA) -- Another batch of returning families who are beneficiaries under the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Program arrived in Cebu on June 2 as the government conducted a new BP2 program dispatch in Central Visayas for 2022.
The Cebu batch of BP2 program beneficiaries. who flew in from the National Capital Region, consists of 16 individuals from four families who will settle in the different municipalities and cities in the province of Cebu.
Two families are bound for Bogo town, one to Tabuelan town, and one will return to Cebu City.
Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, National Housing Authority, and Philippine Information Agency as well as personnel from the said local government units welcomed the arrival of the beneficiaries at Mactan Cebu International Airport.

After the welcome ceremony, the DSWD-7 led the orientation and program for the homecoming of the said families at Golden Prince Hotel, Cebu City.
During the orientation, DSWD-7 BP2 program focal person Monawara Bagundang discussed the government’s various assistance the beneficiaries will receive under the said program.

The four returning families signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the assistance they will receive from the program as well as from other partner agencies of BP2.
They also received an agricultural starter kit from DA-7 who is one of the partner agencies of the said program
DSWD will also provide psychosocial support activities for the beneficiaries to assess their current situation and facilitate their reintegration into their former or new communities, while other partner agencies will also give livelihood settlement grants to sustain their livelihood and continue their economic activities in the province.
With this new batch of beneficiaries, the DSWD-7 assured of the continuous implementation of the BP2 program for all eligible Filipinos who want to start a new life and settle in their hometown or in other resettlement areas and avail a wide array of opportunities in employment, livelihood, and improved quality of services.
