CEBU CITY, Cebu, June 17 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry Cebu Provincial Office (DTI Cebu) has urged business owners and those who are planning to start their own businesses to visit the Negosyo Centers that are located in various cities and municipalities across the province.

DTI has strengthened the implementation of Negosyo Centers as a total of 35 Negosyo Centers are now operating in the province of Cebu as of June 2022.

The centers are mandated to help business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs through its various services such as business registration, assistance, information, and advocacies.

“Atong giawhag atoang mga business owners, nga kung naay mga Negosyo Center sa inyuha, libre gyud ang atong assistance sa negosyo center, libre ang atong assessment, evaluation and monitoring (We are urging our business owners to visit the Negosyo Center in their area. We offer free services at the Negosyo Center such as assessment, evaluation, and monitoring), said Kyle Durano, information officer of DTI Cebu, during the Kapihan sa PIA on June 15.

Negosyo Centers also enable MSMEs to develop and promote their products and services through the “One Town, One Product” program where MSMEs will be trained on product development such as packaging and labeling of products which could be key for them in joining local, national, and international trade fairs.

According to DTI Cebu, the implementation of Negosyo Centers is part of their ongoing efforts to help MSMEs that are greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

DTI Cebu has been conducting several programs, seminars, and webinars while they also tapped social media influencers to help MSMEs sell its products while providing trainings to strengthen and empower businesses during the pandemic.

For MSMEs, DTI will always be here to help you. The government is ready to help you. All you need to do is to seek help from the government Durano added. (RGC/PIA7)
