QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Good news! LRT-2 has extended its operating hours to serve more passengers.
According to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), from the original last commercial train schedule of 8:30 p.m., the last commercial train departing from Antipolo Station will be adjusted to 9 p.m., while the last commercial train departing from Recto Station will be at 9:30 p.m.
Transportation Secretary Art Tugade said that the initiative will benefit commuting workers who get stranded in returning home due to the rising cost of fuel.
The move is also in line with the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) aim to aid the commuting needs of the riding public by serving longer operating hours to those returning home.
Meanwhile, the LRTA reminds train commuters that health and safety protocols are strictly implemented at LRT-2 train stations. (LRT-2/PIA-NCR)
