TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, July 1 (PIA) -- Newly-assumed Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado said he sees the need for an office to review the Provincial Government’s performance as well as its offices and employees in relation to the legal mandates.
Aumentado incorporated in his first official acts of the day the signing of Executive Order No 2, series of 2022 which establishes the Office of Governance, Accountability and Review (OGAR).
The newly-created office, which shall be under the Office of the Governor, will identify Provincial Government activities committed by its offices or employees which appear to be in violation of the Anti Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Officials and Employees.
The E.O., however, is specific to the provincial government activities prior to July 1, 2022.
Comprising the office are heads of the Provincial Government offices led by the Provincial Administrator and a representative from the private sector as co-chair.
Its members include the Provincial Planning and Development Officer, Provincial Budget Officer, head of the Bohol Investment and Promotion Center, the Provincial Veterinarian, Provincial Internal Auditor, Provincial Tourism Officer, Provincial Legal Officer and representatives from the private sector and other offices under the Provincial Government as may be designated by the governor.
