14 Army officers, enlisted personnel complete foreign schooling program

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) --A total of 14 Army officers and enlisted personnel completed their career and specialization courses in military schools and training institutions of Philippine Army partner nations in the first six months of 2022, the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training (OG8, PA) announced on July 20, 2022.


Among the PA officers who completed their foreign schooling are: Captain Krystel Rose Abay who received the U.S. Army Achievement Medal for completing the U.S. Civil Affair Training Course from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School; Colonel Emi Rex Santos who completed the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College Course with distinction; Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Mark Malinit who finished the Army Staff Course Program at the Defence Services Command and Staff College in Dhaka, Bangladesh; Major Francisco Lingat III and Major Evangeline Ruby who both completed the Combined Defence Intelligence Research and Analysis Course offered by the Defence Command Support Training Centre in Canberra, Australia; 1st Lieutenant Joseph Stalin Fagsao who completed the Battalion Reconnaissance Officer Course at the School of Infantry in New South Wales, Australia.

Major Marlon Reyes Jr. who finished the All Corps Major Course Command, Leadership, Training Management facilitated by the Australian Defence Force; Colonel Ernest John Jadloc who completed the Master of Science in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School from Monterey, California; Major Rhegie Cabrera who finished the Command and Staff General Staff Officer Course from the U.S. Army’s General Staff College; Lieutenant Colonel Jose Roy Manuel Dizon who completed the Command Staff Programme offered by the Joint Canadian Forces College.

Captain Zoe Galido and Captain Ardy B. Ludivico who both completed the Field Artillery Captains Career Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, U.S.A.; 1st Lt. Clint Achilles Ramos who completed the Special Forces Qualification Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, U.S.A.; Colonel Roy Anthony Derilo who completed the Master in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College; and Col. Vincent Arnold O. Dy finished the Master of Arts in Combating Terrorism Policy and Strategy at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Meanwhile, Master Sergeant Ariel Ramos finished the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Course.

The Philippine Army offers foreign courses to further enhance the competencies of soldiers and contribute to the attainment of the organization’s International and Defense Engagement effort, operational enhancement, and capability development.

 The foreign schooling program also contributes to the attainment of the Army’s vision of becoming a world-class that is a source of national pride by 2028. (PA/PIA-NCR)
