VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - The Police Provincial Office (PPO) here spearheaded the youth leadership camp at Twin Rock Beach Resort on August 27 to 29, 2022.

The activity sought to nurture young leaders and future peace-builders in advancing their knowledge, skills and capabilities in fighting illegal drugs and terrorism in the country.

This year’s activity focused on the theme: “Kabataang may Paninindigan at Pagkakaisa, Instrumento Laban sa Terorismo at Ilegal na Droga.”

During the event, various contests were conducted including banner making, and discussions on different topics particularly on illegal drugs were held.

Dr. Patrick John Aquino of Department of Health served as one of the resource speakers during the camp. He tackled the topic on drug abuse and reiterated to the participants its negative impact on an individual’s mental, physical,and emotional being.
