SSS-RACE Team visited nine establishments in Tandag City

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur – The Social Security System-Tandag Branch, headed by Benigno J. Dagani Jr. successfully conducted the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) in Tandag City on September 7, 2022, graced by Social Security Commissioner Atty. Ricardo L. Moldez, and SS Commissioner Jose Julio.

The Press Conference was held on the same day of the  awareness drive and strengthening remittance compliance of employers and employees. Officials from the SSS Mindanao North Legal Department, and Operations Group were also present to answer some queries about the process of dealing with employers with delinquency.

Some nine (9) establishments with delinquent employers were visited by the RACE team. The visitation conducted was accompanied by personnel from the Philippine National Police, Radyo Pilipinas-Tandag, and the Philippine Information Agency.

The conduct of RACE primarily intends to remind the delinquent employers of their legal obligation of remitting their employee’s contributions to ensure coverage of  benefits and privileges.

Meanwhile, based on the Republic Act No. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018, employers should register their business to SSS, report their employees within 30 days from the first day they reported for work, maintain true accurate records and submit to SSS for payroll audit, and remit the correct amount of employees contributions regularly.
