TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur – The Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDS-PPO) under the leadership of Police Colonel Dennis Siruno received four awards during the 121st Police Service Anniversary celebration held at Camp Rafael C. Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City on September 14, 2022.
Among the highlights of the celebration is the awarding of units to recognize their efforts in the program implementation.
Based on the report, SDSPPO has been adjudged as:
- Best Performing Unit in the Campaign against Illegal Logging,
- Best Performing Unit in the Campaign against Illegal Fishing and
- Best Women and Children Protection Desk.
In addition, Surigao del Sur 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company was recognized as the Best Mobile Force Company awardee.
Police Colonel Siruno emphasized that the recognition received will uplift the spirit of the police personnel to perform their duty. “This momentous accomplishment and recognition will surely lift the spirits of SDSPPO personnel as we work relentlessly to fulfill our commitment in fighting against all forms of criminality in our province," Police Colonel Siruno said.
Anchored on the theme: “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Pulisya at Mamamayan, Tungo sa Pagkakaisa, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” the activity was spearheaded Police Regional Office 13 headed by Regional Director Police Brigadier General Romeo Caramat Jr..
Agusan del Norte Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante graced the celebration as guest of honor.
