CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) –The Philippine National Police (PNP) has launched their synergized partnership with the general public and religious sectors through a program called KASIMBAYANAN.
The revitalized KASIMBAYANAN which stands for Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan was launched Monday, September 19 at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
In his message during the launch, PNP Chief, General Rodolfo S Azurin, Jr. said the PNP sees the altruistic influence of religion in the enrichment of the police organization’s finest culture and traditions of law enforcement as it inscribes into the hearts and minds of PNP members the purest principles of morality.
“Ang pagpapatatag ng Pambansang Pulisya ay nagsisimula sa isang marangal na pulis na nagmamahal sa kanyang pamilya, may respeto sa kapwa, may takot sa Diyos, mapagmahal sa bayan at tapat sa serbisyo. Ang lahat ng ito ay kailangan tungo sa mas epektibong pagseserbisyo sa bayan.” Azurin said.
The event highlighted the distribution and pinning of the KASIMBAYANAN Button Pin to PNP personnel and partners from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), Imam Council of the Philippines (ICPI), Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches of the Philippines, Inc. (PCECI), and Kaisa Para sa Kaunlaran, Inc. (KAISA)/Movement for Restoration of Peace and Order (MRPO) which symbolize awareness to the various communities that we in the police service and the people we serve have a vital role in contributing peace, order, and progress.
Further, the PNP Jingle “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL” was introduced and was sang with fervor by all attendees.
“Let this beautiful aria resonate as a clamor of hope and as an unyielding instrument of unity that binds the gallant men and women of the Philippine National Police and all sectors of the community towards our dream for progress, as we address peace and security in our country with utmost respect of human rights and highest regard to the rule of law.”Azurin said.
DILG Secretary Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr. message was read by Commissioner Alberto A. Bernardo, Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer, NAPOLCOM as well as the messages of support of invited PNP KASIMBAYANAN Partners such as Most Reverend Bishop Virgilio David, Most Reverend Bishop Noel A. Pantoja, Imam Aleem Said Ahmad Basher, and Ms. Teresita Ang See.
The ceremonies culminated with a forum on the implementation of revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN for faith-based volunteers.
“Binibigyan natin ng importansya at mahalagang papel ang pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng ibat-ibang sangay ng pamahalaan gayundin ang mga sektor sa lipunan upang matagumpay nating maisakatuparan ang pagpapatupad ng batas at mga programang hatid ay kabutihan at kapakanan ng nakakarami,” Azurin said during the forum.
“Today, we rise and re-commit ourselves to God, country, and people, as professional law enforcers to further strengthen police-community relations by nurturing genuine concern, compassion and assistance, and as we resolve prevalent crimes and other issues that affect peace and order situation in the country,” Azurin said
