PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Department of Health (DOH) postpones the launching of the ‘Bakunahang Bayan’ in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Luzon today, September 26.

According to the health department, the postponement is due to the effects of Super Typhoon ‘Karding’ that lashed some parts of Luzon this weekend.

The ‘Bakunahang Bayan’ is a nationwide special vaccination drive that aims to intensify efforts for the country’s booster dose against COVID-19.

The event was originally set to launch today, September 26 until Friday, September 30, 2022, and interested individuals are encouraged to register in their respective local government unit (LGU) to get their booster dose. (DOH/PIA-NCR)
