Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels brings services closer to members in E. Samar

BORONGAN CITY (PIA) -- The Pag-IBIG Fund - Tacloban Branch brought its services closer to members in Eastern Samar to be more accessible and convenient through the Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels (LPOW).

The LPOW was in Dolores, E. Samar on September 12-13 which served 720 Pag-IBIG members; September 14 in Taft, E. Samar  serving 345 members; September 15-16 at the provincial gymnasium in Brgy.  Alang-Alang, Borongan City serving 665 members; and September 19-20 at the Borongan City plaza serving 627 members.

According to Alex Garcia, division chief of marketing and sales of Pag-IBIG Tacloban Branch, the purpose of LPOW is to serve with utmost service closer to the people especially to those members who were affected by the pandemic.

Garcia said the total number of those who benefitted their LPOW in Eastern Samar was 2,357 Pag-IBIG members.

He added that the services they rendered include membership registration, verification of records, Modified Pag-IBIG 2 enrollment, and acceptance of Multi-Purpose Loan applications.

Other services offered include acceptance of Provident Benefit Claim applications, Loyalty Cash Plus enrollment, and other general inquiries.

Evelyn A. Cruz, a Pag-ibig Member for 10 years, upon hearing from her officemates that there is a Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels in Borongan, she immediately went to the Borongan City Plaza to apply and avail of the Multi-Purpose Loan.

“This is good news for me, because I will not go to Tacloban anymore just to apply for the Multi-Purpose Loan. So, with this LPOW, I can save money, time, and effort,” Cruz said.

Pag-IBIG Fund Tacloban Branch aims to reach out to its members and provide them immediate assistance according to their needs particularly those who are affected by calamities and the pandemic. (MMP/SDC/PIA E. Samar)
