VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - As part of providing support to Philippine National Police (PNP), the provincial government of Catanduanes handed out two patrol cars, motorcycles, and other pieces of logistical equipment to Catanduanes Police Provincial Office (CATPPO) on Friday, September 23, 2022.
Governor Joseph C. Cua and Acting Provincial Director Col. Benjamin B. Balingbing Jr. led the ceremonial turnover which was held at Camp Francisco Camacho and graced by Most Reverend Manolo A. Delos Santos who led the blessing of the new equipment.
In his message, Cua expressed hope that the equipment will assist the CATPPO for its police operations, especially those with complicated logistical requirements. He conveyed his vision of progress in the province as a direct result of a highly effective peace and order situation.
Also, he stressed that PLGU is keen in supporting the PNP so it can be efficient and effective in carrying out its mandate to serve and protect the people.
The donations include Girsan short firearms 9mm; Emtan Long firearms 5.56; desktop computers for selected municipal police stations; LED TV with Epson printer and scanner; JBL partybox and Shure microphone; and tablet computer.
Present during the activity were Uldarico S. Razal, Jr, Provincial Director, DILG-Catanduanes and Col. Paul F. Abay, chief of Regional Operations Division, PRO5.
Prior to the blessing and turnover ceremony, PRO 5 Acting Regional Director Brig. Gen. Rudolph B. Dimas paid a courtesy visit to the local chief executive at Governor’s Office Conference Room as part of his command visit in the province where Cua expressed his support to the programs and advocacies of Dimas, especially those anchored in instilling police integrity and discipline and community engagement to curb criminality.
