KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato (PIA) -- The Department of Tourism SOCCSKSARGEN (SOX) relaunched the 16 tourism circuits in the region during the SOX Tourism Summit 2022 Tuesday, September 27 at The Farm, Carpenter Hill in Koronadal City.

The official SOX Circuits are: 1) Flavors of SOX; 2) Tuna Tour and Pacman Adventour; 3) Tau SOX Tours; 4) Lake Sebu Tours; 5) Lake Holon Tours; 6) Mt. Apo Foot and Climb Tours; 7) Asik-Asik Tours; 8) River Tubing Tours; 9) Sarangani Beach Tours; 10) Matigol Falls Tours; 11) La Palmera Tours; 12) Tres Andanas Tours; 13) Sultan Kudarat Hills Tour; 14) SOX Fun Farm Tours; 15) SarBay Dive Circuit; and 16) KaLePa Dive Circuit.

DOT 12 acting regional director Armin Hautea said the SOX Tourism Circuits was developed to encourage more tourists to come to SOCCSKSARGEN and to further maximize domestic tourism.

“It features the different tourism products in SOX grouped together so tourists can maximize their experience. It has gone several consultations with the tourism officers and accredited tour operators and was locally validated by the stakeholders,” Hautea said in a message to PIA 12.

For local government units and other stakeholders, being in the circuit would mean a motivation to enhance and develop more products and activities to take advantage of the influx of tourists along the circuit.

For government, it would be easier to facilitate development projects and support facilities when attractions are in themes, or geograhically connected, Hautea said. (ACA)
