MMDA advises motorists, public of La Naval de Manila procession Sunday

PASIG CITY (PIA) -- The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has issued a traffic advisory for Sunday, in celebration of the Feast of La Naval de Manila.

A grand procession takes place in Quezon City on Sunday, October 9, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The route of the grand procession will be along Sto. Domingo Avenue, Dapitan Street, D. Tuazon, and Quezon Avenue in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the shrine of La Naval de Manila advises that the Sto. Domingo Ave, Dapitan St., D. Tuazon Ave. will be closed to traffic at 3:30 pm.

The Westbound lane of Quezon Avenue (going to Quiapo) will be closed to traffic at 4:30 pm, from Araneta to D. Tuazon Avenues, until the end of the procession.

All Westbound vehicles are advised to take Araneta Ave. and turn left at NS Amoranto St. or Del Monte Ave. to point of destination.

Likewise, one-way traffic will be observed in the following streets: P. Florentino, from D. Tuazon to Biak-na-bato; M.J. Cuenco, from Sto. Domingo St. to D. Tuazon; Maria Clara, from Sto. Domingo to Araneta Ave.

The national shrine also advises that no parking is strictly prohibited along Sto. Domingo Ave., Dapitan St., D. Tuazon Ave, and West bound of Quezon Ave. starting 12 noon of October 9, 2022.

A one-side parking is allowed along Cuenco, P. Florentino, Biak-na-bato, Banawe and Cordillera Streets.

Motorists are also advised that no parking will be allowed in the compound of Sto. Domingo Church after the 12:00-1:00 pm Mass on Sunday. All vehicles will be asked to leave or will be towed.

Likewise, the national shrine advises those who would park along designated streets not to leave their cars unattended.
