QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go led the Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) distribution of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to beneficiaries at the San Juan Gym in San Juan Elementary School, San Juan City.
300 beneficiaries each received P10,000 from DSWD hoping to recover from the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.
In his speech, Mayor Zamora stated that the livelihood assistance will be a great help to San Juan residents.
“We would like to thank Senator Bong Go and the DSWD for the grant. This is a big help to our constituents who were greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and trying to start anew,” Zamora expressed.
According to Mayor Zamora, these beneficiaries were chosen and vetted by the DSWD, and hopes that they will use it wisely.
“We hope that our constituents use this money wisely to add more capital or supplement their small businesses so they will be able to grow them into thriving enterprises which will allow them to support their families," he said. (PIA-NCR)
