Tropical Storm 'Paeng' is now over the West Philippine Sea

CALOOCAN CITY (PIA) -- The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on its 5:am bulletin on October 30 reported that Tropical Storm ‘Paeng’  has exited the landmass of Luzon at 2:00 AM today and now over the West Philippine Sea.

The weather bureau, at 4:00am, monitored ‘Paeng’ to be at 85 km West Northwest of Iba, Zambales with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph. It was currently moving northwestward at 30 kph.

The Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still hoisted over in the following areas:

·        Pangasinan

·         La Union,

·        Southern portion of Ilocos Sur (City of Candon, Banayoyo, Galimuyod, Sigay, Suyo, Santa Lucia, Santa Cruz, Alilem, Tagudin, Sugpon, Cervantes, Quirino, Gregorio del Pilar, Salcedo, Lidlidda, San Emilio, Santiago, Burgos, Santa Maria, San Esteban)

·         Benguet

·        Tarlac

·        Zambales

·        Western portion of Bataan (Morong, Bagac, Dinalupihan, Hermosa), the western portion of Pampanga (Floridablanca, Mabalacat City, Magalang, Angeles City, Porac)

·        Northwestern portion of Nueva Ecija (Guimba, Cuyapo, Talugtug, Nampicuan)



While Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in the following areas:

·        Cagayan including Babuyan Islands

·        Isabela, Quirino

·        Nueva Vizcaya

·        Apayao

·        Kalinga

·        Ifugao

·        Mountain Province

·        Abra

·        Ilocos Norte

·        The rest of Ilocos Sur

·        Aurora

·        The rest of Nueva Ecija

·        The rest of Pampanga

TS ‘Paeng’ will likely exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow morning or afternoon. However, PAGASA also reported monitoring a new Tropical Depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility which continues to maintain its strength as is moves Westward. (KAA – PIA CPSD)
