Dgte allots P17.1M for 'Pamaskong Handog' beneficiaries

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 7 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City government has allocated a total of P17.1 million to benefit the 34,200 identified beneficiaries from the 30 component barangays under this year's 'Pamaskong Handog' project. 

Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has approved the implementation of this year’s 'Pamaskong Handog' at P500 for each indigent family, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in December 2022.

City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) Lilibeth Filipinas urged the recipients or representatives of the beneficiaries to submit all the requirements on or before the deadline set by their respective barangay captain to allow authorities to verify and finalize the list and payroll of recipients on time.

The requirements include the submission of photocopy of valid ID on or before Nov. 15, 2022.

CSWDO has also provided the criteria and guidelines for the release of the the said cash gift for senior citizens, indigents, and PWDs.

Priority is given to senior citizens and PWDs as they are excluded from the slots allotted for indigent families. (JCT/PIA7 Negros Oriental with reports from CPIO)
