National Library offers free viewing of rare books, manuscripts

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) is inviting the public to visit a free Exhibit of Rare Books and Manuscripts this Library and Information Services Month.

Get a glimpse of the original manuscripts of the Dr. Jose Rizal’s ‘Noli Me Tangere’ and ‘El Filibusterismo’ and his original poem ‘Mi Ultimo Adios.’

Also on display include the ‘Acta de la Proclamacion de Independencia del pueblo Filipino,’ rare books, photographs, maps and memorabilia.

A special feature in this exhibit is the provision of audio transcription for each display, specially made for our visually challenged clients. Try to scan the QR code provided to hear the description.

Visit the National Library now located at the 2nd Floor Lobby of the NLP Building, T.M. Kalaw St. in Ermita, Manila.
