CEBU CITY,Cebu, Nov.14 (PIA) -- In line with its goal to promote the country as a prime culinary destination, the Department of Tourism Region 7 (DOT7) hosted a three-day food and travel festival in Ayala Center from Nov. 11 to 13.
The "Kaon Ta, Kain Pa!" Food and Travel Festival, which was one of the agency's centerpiece initiatives, featured on-site exhibition activities that highlighted the many tourist destinations' rich culinary traditions.
Additionally, the food and travel festival showcased a wide variety of regional ingredients, renowned culinary pleasures, fresh vegetables from nearby farms, and goods made by MSMEs in the region.
The Cebu leg of "Kaon Ta, Kain Pa!" centered on the theme "Inuman at Pulutan" where it highlighted the country's iconic drinks and beverages, rich and colorful drinking culture, and artisanal brews, drafts, and infusions.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the event were led by DOT Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Mae Elaine Bathan and Cebu City Tourism Officer Niel Odchigue. (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)
