TULUNAN, Cotabato Province (PIA) -- A total of 31 agrarian reform beneficiaries in the municipality of Tulunan recently gained entrepreneurial skills after finishing the farm business school (FBS) program of the Department of Agrarian Reform.
The ARBs are members of the New Caridad United Farmers Association (NCUFA) of the municipality.
Charish Paña, provincial agrarian reform program officer II, said the graduates of the FBS program completed the 25 sessions which started in July this year.
"We hope that we have inspired the farmers, especially the ARBs to put their learning into practice and pursue entrepreneurship for more income generation for their respective families," Paña said.
He added that the skills and knowledge the participants have acquired is sufficient for them to properly establish and manage farm enterprises.
Meanwhile, Roy Gullos, one of the FBS graduates, said the program is a good avenue to look into farming as an opportunity for business.
"The program has enhanced our entrepreneurial knowledge, including farm production, business planning, proper recording, market networking and linkaging, and decision making," Gullos emphasized.
The 25 sessions of the FBS program were facilitated by trained technical experts in the fields of entrepreneurship and farm business. (With reports from DAR-Cotabato)
